WorkHealth social research program

WorkHealth has a regular program of social research to inform program design and planning. Surveys of participating employers and workers show high levels of satisfaction with the WorkHealth program and 97% of employers recommend WorkHealth checks to others.

The surveys also provide an early indication of steps participants take after their WorkHealth check to improve their health and lifestyle.

WorkHealth research and evaluation

WorkSafe has partnered with Monash University and the Institute for Safety, Compensation and Recovery Research (ISCRR) to evaluate the WorkHealth program. The research program, led by Professor Malcolm Sim, the Director of the Monash Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health, includes:

  • Six-monthly analysis of the WorkHealth check dataset
  • A longitudinal study of participating workers to evaluate the impacts of the program on their health, lifestyle and health outcomes
  • A process and impact evaluation to evaluate the impacts of the program on workplace outcomes
  • Modelling of the long term program targets

This page will be updated periodically with the latest results from this exciting research program.
