The Authority is a body corporate established under the Accident Compensation Act 1985 (Vic). This website is governed by the WorkSafe website privacy statement.

Enquiries About Privacy

WorkSafe Victoria's functions and responsibilities require us to collect and handle large amounts of personal, sensitive and health information about injured workers, members of the public, our stand and people who assist us in the work that we do. We are committed to achieiving the highest standards in the protection of privacy and the handling of personal, sensitive and health information.

We are subject to Victorian privacy legislation: The Information Privacy Act 2000 (Vic) and the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic) and the Information Privacy Principles and Health Privacy Principles set out in those Acts.

WorkSafe has a Privacy Policy that sets out how we collect, use, disclose and otherwise deal with information and how you can request access to your information or enquire about how we deal with your information.
