About workplace health promotion grants

WorkHealth is providing Workplace health promotion grants for one-off funding opportunities to eligible employers to expand existing workplace initiatives.

The WorkHealth program will fund workplace health promotion activities that promote physical activity, healthy diet and nutrition, responsible alcohol consumption, positive mental health or smoking cessation.

Examples of grants include:

  • A small company in Bendigo receives funding to set up a health notice board updated each month by health experts
  • A small company in Hamilton given funding to get help in setting up a Health and Wellbeing committee
  • A Geelong company given a grant to employ a facilitator to set up a Bicycle Users Group and secure bicycle storage
  • A Bendigo company given a grant to employ trainers to provide health literacy seminars for staff

Current availability of workplace health promotion grants

Employers in all regions of Victoria can apply for grants.

To be eligible to receive a grant, you must have already provided health checks to a majority of your workers within the previous two years as a foundation for your ongoing workplace health promotion activities.

If you are interested in applying for a workplace grant but are not located in an area where grants are currently available, you can register your interest here. You will be contacted by WorkHealth once grants become available in your area.
